Think Like A Monk
My replacement for The Monk who sold his Ferrari…
The book that.. somehow led me to action? Have been meditating on and off (once or twice weekly, usually when Thana is around) but when I was reading, flipping the pages in Oasia Hotel, idk why but felt an urge to just sit by the pool, with a little bit water underneath and start to follow Jay’s method on breathe work and 静坐; just sooooo beautiful and calm and for the first time, I sit in stillness for about 20 minutes.
After which I meditate everyday at least once a day. One of the key ideas I love is the Hotel Earth 🌎; 感觉有点佛系啊 but it says we come to this world only with our body and breathes. We didn’t own anything, no relationship, family, friends, property, money anything. The example is like us going to vacation. Like me going to Morroco soon and I’ll enjoy my trip and cherish every moment and also don’t be sad that I’m leaving because I know they are not mine to begin with. It’s borrowed and cherished. 💛 Showing gratitude to every meal and every time when we wake up, make it conscious and not taking things for granted. Also particularly like the phrase. Yesterday is but a dream. Tomorrow is only a vision. But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Many mantras developed and my fav is plan and execute everything with love. 🥰 In here, I thank the universe for sending me this book and I know my life will never be the same ever.
